Internet Ad Spending Increases in June - Internet Statistics [7/12/2000]
Spending on Internet advertising has increased 54 percent
According to AdZone's numbers in June the top 10 brands alone spent $367 million, with Real Networks leading all others at $103 million. Film.com was a distant second at $69.2 million. AOL lead the top spending sites of June at $65 million in revenues with Yahoo! following at $46 million and eBay at $32 million. Yahoo, Microsoft, Lycos, and America Online remained the top revenue generating Web site networks in June.
AdZone tracks advertising on more than 1,000 Web sites that comprise more than 95 percent of all Internet advertising revenue from banners, text ads, keywords, links, button pop-ups, interstitials, and hover text.
