It’s been nonstop optimization at WebMetro for over a decade. Make that 15 years.
Last Thursday, we celebrated our 15th Anniversary with an open house.
We started the day by having some fun with the employees that make it all happen at WebMetro. We have a powerhouse team of search marketing specialists, technology developers, web designers, and other ROI-fanatical online marketers.
The team was challenged to the WebMetro version of Trivial Pursuit. Our employees whipped out their game faces, battling each other for answers. A sample of the questions:
- What was the very first version of our DSMM Advantage™ technology called?” (A: ROI AdTracker)
- What are WebMetro’s ad Sitelinks in Google? (Google it.)
- According to John McCarthy, the best digital marketing mix is a lot like what? (Hint: Something to do with pico de gallo, tomatillo, jicama and black bean.)
- What was the name of the first Online Marketing class taught at WebMetro’s first location in Pasadena? (A: Marketing & Advertising on the Internet)
Brief and much summarized history lesson on WebMetro: the agency started as a training/resource center teaching businesses and marketing professionals how to use the power of the internet. 15 years later, we are now a team of online direct marketing specialists working with some of the web’s most recognized brands.
Back to the celebration...
Around happy hour time, we opened the doors to our new digs for a fun evening of celebration with clients and our business partners! Mingling, music, cocktails, and hors d’ouevres! We had clients attend that have been with us from the beginning as well as new clients that just joined the roster. Business partners from marketing agencies and advertising organizations also helped us honor the milestone. The support and congratulatory remarks received made the evening extra special.
The next morning, our coffee machine worked overtime. Buzz around the office, from our clients, and guests all hovered around, “what a great time.” Of course, we had our critics too. A suggestion from one of our SEOs: “we should have had this on a Friday night instead of Thursday.”
