DSL market improving in North America

Newsbytes reports that the number of DSL subscribers in North America is picking up for the first time this year.
According to TeleChoice, the third quarter was the first for some time that the number of new DSL subscribers was not lower than the previous quarter.
TeleChoice also found that the incumbent telephone companies in the US have captured 85 percent of the DSL market.
The number of new subscribers in Canada in Q3 totaled almost 148,000, bringing the total for Canada to almost 929,000.
