Dell tops US server market

Dell led the US server market last year

This is according to Gartner, which says that Compaq was close behind with a market share of 22.4 percent, a fall of 20.3 percent on the previous year.

IBM was some way back in third place with 12.7 percent, down 9.4 percent, and Sun Microsystems was in fourth with 7.2 percent.
