Consumers would pay for streaming

Of those US consumers who have ever listened to Internet audio, 9 million would pay for the one audio channel they listen to most, according to a new study from Arbitron.
The study, which was conducted in conjunction with Edison Media Research, also found that 40 percent of those have listened to Internet audio would pay for commercial free content or content they cannot find elsewhere.
Fifty-nine percent of people with broadband Internet access use streaming media, compared with 47 percent of dial-up users.
