Rise in traffic to search sites [5/16/2002]

Traffic to America's top three search engines grew between 16 percent and 54 percent over the past six months.

Google sites grew 54 percent to 34.2 million unique visitors over the past three months, while Yahoo Search grew 20 percent to 38.4 million; and MSN Search grew 16 percent to 42.4 million.

Jupiter Media Metrix attributes Google’s strong growth to its partnerships with a number of portals, including Yahoo and AOL.
