Generating custom reports, segmenting data, integrating data, etc. These are all features of Google’s Analytics service, which it continues to roll out to capture corporate IT shops.
The search engine giant is planning domination once again, aiming to allow users to do away with all third-party tools they may be currently using to dissect data.

Google first unveiled its Analytics service three years ago. Demand was so great that it had to temporarily stop taking on new customers. Now, it’s been integrated with Google’s AdSense program. This is extremely helpful to Internet marketers because it lets them see, for example, which referring sources are bringing in the most money.

This allows marketers to tweak their ROI for maximum performance.
Another feature of the new service is the ability of users to segment their web traffic, honing in on behaviors of a certain subset. With this feature, Internet marketers and e-tailers can really start to dig deep into their data to isolate the behaviors of buyers, for example, from tire kickers. Once a behavior has been isolated, it can then be tested, and then expanded for even greater returns.

With Google’s new advanced visualization capability, complete with animation and bubble charts, Internet marketers can get their data in the format that is most useful and helpful to them and their team, much like any other advanced corporate reporting technology.

Beta Test: Google Analytics API
One of the most exciting things the company unveiled with this list of new features is Google Analytics API. For the advanced, what it does is to allow users to pull data out of the analytics landscape and construct new applications.

For example, allowing iPhone users to have Google Analytics displayed on their phones. The company says it has a multitude of users, many of them programmers who are practically demanding such advanced applications as this. And, they’re trying hard to deliver.

Currently, API is only available via invitation.
